Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats, and sometimes enhances its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations can be applied.
For instance, the top racial shield Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb function in PvP or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you reroll a purchased item, such as armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced by another item of the same type however with different benefits. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method of upgrading gear. However, they do not retain the same level as the original item and any resources that are wasted aren't refunded.
Survivors may acquire reroll tokens by a variety of means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or purchase them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of a piece of equipment that could include increasing its damage or giving it a new stat.
Players can roll their equipment into three attributes: physical power, magic power, and health. Upgrades to physical power increase the damage of melee and weapons attack, while upgrades to spell power upgrade mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
There are three kinds of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher-quality and requires an upgraded reroll token in order to make it. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. Leveling
Leveling is a feature that allows you to increase the effectiveness of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. Once an item has reached its highest level, upgrades will not be available for it. Also, when an item reaches an upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for the track will be offered at a discount.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can slot into weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to give an additional benefit or bonus while the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be changed by acquiring new ones. However, this will destroy the old upgrade.
Requirements

Once an upgrade component is added to an object it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However, glyphs can be swapped freely.
Upgrades can increase the Mark Level of an item or Rarity. Additionally, some upgrade components have additional modifiers that could further enhance the stats of the item.
For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and adds an extra 20% chance to block. Additionally, the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get a perfect roll. For instance, a flawlessly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.
